What Kids Learn

Mastering AI requires both technical and thinking skills.

Critical Thinking

Is this output good? Is it true? Does it solve the problem? Kids learn to evaluate, not just accept, and to express their own vision and hold on to it.

Planning

The hard part isn't building. It's knowing what to build. Kids learn to break big ideas into specific, buildable pieces.

Prompt Engineering

The difference between okay output and great output is how you ask. Kids learn to craft specific, structured prompts, not just "make it cooler."

Context Engineering

One of the most important AI skills. Without the right context, it doesn't matter how you prompt or which model you use. Kids learn to give AI everything it needs to build their vision.

Problem Solving

Things break. Output isn't right. Kids learn to test, diagnose, and iterate until it works.

AI Is a Tool

AI amplifies ideas. It doesn't replace thinking. Kids learn to direct it, not depend on it.

Programs

AI Kids Club comes to life in Labs.

Children develop critical thinking and put it to work with artificial intelligence in our AI Labs. They learn to decide what's worth creating, to plan, to give the machine what it needs to know, and to judge whether what it makes is any good. We teach the concepts, then they use them to build apps, games, comics, stories and images in Spark, our platform designed for kids.

Labs culminate in Demo Day, our favorite part. Kids present what they've made to family and friends, startup style.

Who it's for

Kids ages 7 to 14.

Our story

We’re Brian and Ariana: a tech leader and educator working in AI, previously at Etsy, Bumble and Udacity, and a data scientist with a background in AI and machine learning.

We’re also parents, which is why we know how important it is for kids to learn to use AI the right way. To understand what it is and what its limitations are. To see themselves as the directors using their own critical thinking and imagination, and not delegating it to a machine.

We started AI Kids Club by accident, as an experiment with our own kids. So many people asked us to run it for them that we piloted an in-person program, in a pirate watchtower turned vineyard by the Mediterranean. That went so well that now we’re bringing it to schools and the rest of the world.

We built Spark from the ground up for children’s AI programs, and every AI Kids Club session runs on it. Kids use it to make working apps and games, illustrated stories and comics, and images.

Designed for kids

Instructors guide the learning and manage how and when kids use Spark.

Private by default

Kids don’t need personal AI accounts. They work within their class, and their work isn’t public unless an instructor approves sharing.

FAQ

What is AI Kids Club?

AI education for kids, taught through real projects. In our AI Labs, children learn to think critically, understand AI, and direct it to make apps, games, comics and stories. We teach in small groups, with an instructor guiding the learning.

What ages is this good for?

Kids ages 7 to 14. Select your child's age in the form below.

Do kids need prior experience?

No coding, robotics, or AI experience needed: just curiosity and willingness to experiment. We start from the basics, and beginners have presented finished work at Demo Day.

What's the schedule?

School programs follow each school's timetable. Our next camps are Semana Santa and summer 2027 in Alicante, and Online Labs are coming soon. Sign up and we'll tell you when dates are set.

Will my child get individual attention?

Yes. Groups are small, so the instructor knows what every kid is building and can help in the moment.

What language is it taught in?

It depends on the program. In partner schools it runs in English with Spanish support or fully in Spanish, as the school chooses.

Where does it take place?

At partner schools, and at our camps in Alicante. Online Labs are coming soon.

What do kids need to bring?

It depends on the program. In partner schools, devices are arranged with the school. For any other program, we tell you what your child needs before the first session.

What if my child misses a session?

We'll share materials and help them catch up. The project-based format means they can pick up where they left off.

How much does it cost?

Partner schools set their own prices. Prices for our upcoming camps and Online Labs will be announced with those programs.

How is this different from robotics?

Robotics focuses on building and programming physical machines. AI Kids Club teaches children to plan, direct AI, evaluate its output and improve it through their own apps, games, comics and stories. The emphasis is on thinking and judgment they can use across AI tools.

Is this just more screen time?

This is creating, not consuming. Kids build real projects: games, stories, apps. Not scrolling or watching. It's the difference between playing piano and listening to music.

What happens after the program?

Kids keep what they make. They can continue developing their skills through further Labs and camps, taking on more ambitious projects as they gain experience. Ask us about the next available group.

Can you run this at our school?

Yes. We run the program inside partner schools: in the school's timetable, with the group size the school sets, and the school handles sign-ups. It can run in English or fully in Spanish, whichever fits the school. El Valle and King's College run it now.

Can I bring AI Kids Club to my community?
